Video Walkthroughs

2011-2012 Vehicles:

•Make sure to unplug power from the DLP (Sirius satellite radio module - separate from radio) and unplug and move the yellow antenna plug to the back of the radio and plug into splitter provided.

•Next plug the pink on splitter to pink on radio and yellow from splitter to yellow on radio.

2013-2017 Vehicles:

•If you had Sirius on your original radio plugged direct to the radio with yellow plug, plug the yellow plug to the navigation unit's yellow plug.

•If you are not getting both Sirius and GPS then please contact our support department.

We will send you a GPS antenna and you will eliminate the splitter and plug directly to the radio both the GPS and Sirius plug.

Applies to ALL Vehicles:

•If you are not getting a GPS lock, the map does not show your location on the map, take the GPS antenna and put it directly on the dashboard or on the roof and drive it around.

•If you have a dual antenna like in the 2011-2012 vehicles try driving it around also. You may have to ride around for a good day of driving before it updates.

•Once it does you can re-position the antenna just below the dash where no metal is blocking it's view of the entire windshield so no metal over or around it. The dash material will not effect it.

Putting the GPS antenna on the dashboard or roof and driving around for awhile is key. However if you have exhausted this and all of the above is covered, then please contact our support department for further assistance.

Sync 1 (Clarion) GPS Navigation Unit (2009-2016)

"The Steering Wheel Controls (SWC) Are Not Working"

Did you install the XP1 harness (if applicable)?

Not all vehicles use the XP1 harness

If your original steering wheel control had the phone button and you replaced that with the one from the kit, try your original SWC.  Most of the time it's not necessary to swap that if you have the phone button.

Try a canbus reset which resets the module that sends/receives the signal from the SWC's.

•Remove positive and negative cables from the vehicles battery.

•Touch and hold the cables together for a few seconds

•Reconnect

•(if you have a diesel disconnect both batteries, then do one battery at a time then go to next step)

•With all doors closed, lock the vehicle and let it sit for 15 minutes.

•After the 15 minutes unlock the vehicle,  and start vehicle with the door open, test radio.

If they are still not working then unfortunately your SWC module is not compatible for this type unit.  In this case you can use the radio display to make calls and everything will operate correctly except the SWC's. Please contact our support department for further assistance.

"Day/Night Mode Issues When Viewing Maps"

If you are receiving this error, please try a few different CDs and DVDs to make sure it isn't due to a dirty or scratched disc.

Make sure to test with a CD or DVD that is not a CDR/DVDR (burned).

Clean the disc by wiping with a dry soft cotton cloth, and rub from the center outward towards the edge of the disc.

If you are still unable to play a disc, please enter the following commands to perform a factory reset:

Menu > System Settings > Factory Reset.

We also recommend trying a canbus reset:

•Remove the positive and negative cables from the vehicles battery.

•Touch and hold the cables together for a few seconds , this might cause a light spark.

•Reconnect both the positive and negative cables.

•With all doors closed, lock the vehicle and let it sit for 15 minutes.

•After the 15 minutes unlock the vehicle, and start vehicle with the door open, test your radio for the CD error.

If this does not fix the issue, please contact support directly so we can setup a repair or exchange.

Getting "Mechanism Error" When Trying To Play A CD/DVD

If you're having issues with your navigation unit showing just       'Day mode' or just 'Night mode' please follow these steps:

1. Try to adjust your dimmer in your vehicles dash. This is connected to your navigation unit and may cause the unit to assume it's dark outside when its not.

3. Under Menu>Display be sure it's set to Auto. Additionally, under Menu>Clock verify your time is set correctly and is in the correct time zone, however the GPS should correct this automatically.

3. Try a canbus reset:

•Remove positive and negative cables from the vehicles battery.

•Touch and hold the cables together for a few seconds

    •Reconnect

(if you have a diesel disconnect both batteries, then do one                battery at a time then go to next step)

•With all doors closed, lock the vehicle and let it sit for 15 minutes.

•After the 15 minutes unlock the vehicle,  and start vehicle with the       door open, test radio.
